Families visiting the IKEA Belfast for the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Women's 10K can look forward to a range of free, interactive activities designed to inspire creativity, healthy living, sustainability, and race day excitement.
Young explorers can take part in the Market Hall Activity Trail, helping Bjorn Bear create the perfect healthy breakfast by searching for 10 hidden breakfast items around Market Hall. This fun-filled challenge is perfect for little adventurers and encourages families to explore together.
In the Swedish Restaurant, children can get creative with a Healthy Breakfast Colouring Activity, designing and colouring their own healthy breakfast while enjoying some family fun.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to make a positive impact through the Community Tree Pledge. Families can write down a healthy or sustainable promise and add a leaf to the community tree, helping to grow a display that celebrates small actions that can make a big difference.
Race day excitement continues with Phoenix Energy Cheer Poster Making, where children and families can create colourful posters to support and encourage runners taking part in the event. These handmade signs will help bring extra energy and encouragement to participants along the route.
To round off the experience, families can take part in a Personalised Medal Craft Activity, creating and decorating their own medal made from recycled cardboard. This sustainable keepsake provides a fun reminder of a fantastic day out.
With activities focused on creativity, sustainability, healthy living and supporting our runners, the IKEA Belfast Family Activity Zone offers something for all ages to enjoy. Be sure to stop by and join in the fun!
