Belfast City Marathon are very excited to be on the lookout for dedicated, enthusiastic team leaders to lead our wonderful volunteer crew. Belfast City Marathon events simply do not happen without the love and support of our volunteer crew, the heartbeat of our events.
With over 1,000 volunteers required annually, we are recruiting experienced volunteers to help the organising committee with certain areas of the event. Belfast City Marathon is the largest mass sport participation event in Northern Ireland, raising millions annual for charity and also generating millions of pounds into the local economy. YOUR help makes a HUGE difference.
Team Leaders will be briefed by event organisers prior to race day. Team Leaders will be the link between Volunteer Crew and the event organisers on race day. Team Leaders will sign in the volunteers on the day, brief them, distribute supplies / lunches / radios / trackers etc, liaise with event partners and supporting organisations and organise their team of volunteers.

2026 Phoenix Energy Belfast City Women's 10k: Sunday 21st June
2026 Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon: Sunday 20th September
2026 Phoenix Energy Belfast City 5k Fun Run: Sunday 15th November
