Translink has confirmed additional early morning train services to support participants and spectators travelling to the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 3rd May 2026.
The extra services will help runners, relay teams, volunteers and supporters make their way into Belfast ahead of the event, with services arriving into Belfast Lanyon Place before 8.00am.
Additional trains will operate on the following routes:
Derry~Londonderry to Belfast Lanyon Place
This service departs Derry~Londonderry at 5.40am, stopping at Bellarena, Castlerock, Coleraine, Ballymoney, Cullybackey, Ballymena, Antrim, Mossley West and York Street, before arriving into Belfast Lanyon Place at 7.36am.
Larne to Belfast Lanyon Place
The Larne service departs Larne Harbour at 6.51am, stopping at Larne Town, Whitehead, Downshire, Carrickfergus, Clipperstown, Trooperslane, Greenisland, Jordanstown, Whiteabbey and York Street, arriving into Belfast Lanyon Place at 7.48am.
Bangor to Belfast Lanyon Place
This service departs Bangor at 7.15am, calling at Bangor West, Carnalea, Helen’s Bay, Seahill, Cultra, Marino, Holywood, Sydenham and Titanic Quarter, before arriving at Belfast Lanyon Place at 7.46am.
Newry to Belfast Lanyon Place
The Newry service departs at 6.48am, stopping at Portadown, Lurgan, Moira and Lisburn, arriving into Belfast Lanyon Place at 7.45am.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and allow plenty of time to get to the start area. Using public transport is a convenient way to travel into the city on race morning and helps reduce congestion around the event route.
