Charities across Northern Ireland are being invited to take part in the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon Expo this May, offering an important opportunity to connect directly with runners ahead of race weekend.
The Expo, which takes place in the lead-up to the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon and Team Relay, will welcome thousands of participants as they collect their race packs and prepare for the event. For charities, it provides a high-impact platform to meet supporters face-to-face, build team spirit, and strengthen fundraising activity at a key point in the marathon journey.
Having a presence at the Expo allows charity teams to engage with runners who have chosen to fundraise for them, offer encouragement and practical support, and help ensure runners feel part of a wider team effort. It also creates an ideal opportunity for charities to distribute race shirts to their participants, providing a recognisable team identity and boosting visibility across race weekend.
In addition to meeting existing runners, charities can use the Expo to inspire further fundraising, share the impact of donations, recruit additional supporters, and connect with runners who may still be deciding who to support. With large footfall expected, it is also an opportunity to raise awareness of charity services, campaigns and community initiatives.
The Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon is proud to support a wide range of charity partners each year, with runners raising vital funds for organisations working across health, community services, disability support, animal welfare, mental health, youth programmes and more.
Charities interested in attending the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon Expo in May are encouraged to register their interest as early as possible. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come basis.
For more information or to request a charity space at the Expo, please contact the Belfast City Marathon team at events@belfastcitymarathon.org.
