Ivan McMinn certainly is a Marathon Man in its truest sense. The now Chairman of Cancer Focus NI received a pancreatic cancer diagnosis in 2011. Nine months after having his chemotherapy treatment, he completed the London Marathon, and then again in 2014.

Help Cancer Focus NI celebrate and say a special thank you to all key workers, including those who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to care and support cancer patients and their families during this really difficult time.

This Friday, 28th March 2025, Harry Harvey, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Strangford, will take part in an extraordinary fundraising challenge to support Air Ambulance NI. Harry is set to participate in a Firewalk – walking barefoot across a bed of glowing hot coals – to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

Ramona Vrancut (Whiteabbey) along with 4 of her nursing colleagues, are taking part in the Moy Park Belfast City Marathon Team Relay Challenge on Sunday 5^th May and raising funds for Air Ambulance NI. Ramona and her colleagues work in the Day Procedure Unit at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald. 

In May 2021, Heather from outside Magherafelt, arrived home from work, planning to take her 12-year-old collie for a walk.  She had no idea how her afternoon was to unfold and how lifechanging it would be. 

With just 8 weeks to Christmas, Air Ambulance NI is highlighting the fact that the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service team will be on duty on Christmas day, and every day of the year, there for us all should the worst happen.  During the month of December, the medics anticipate being called upon on over 60 occasions.

It was an early start on Father’s Day morning as supercar owners from across Ireland headed off to Bishopscourt Racing Circuit to take part in a promotional video for the Air Ambulance NI Supercar Extravaganza event taking place in July.

Lamborghini’s, McLaren’s, Aston Martin’s, and a host of other high-end supercars gathered for a morning on the racing circuit to help promote the weekend display and on track entertainment.
