26.2 Crew Update COMPLETED IT!
11 ambassadors have embarked on an exclusive journey to complete their very first ever marathon on Sunday 5th May in Belfast, and we’ve had exclusive updates along the way. We are absolutely delighted to say that all 11 crew members completed the 26.2 mile challenge!

The Moy Park Belfast City Marathon provided the 26.2 Crew with a comprehensive package, including access to citywide gym membership and a calendar of monthly classes from Better (Official Gym Sponsor), bespoke marathon training programme from Runna, gait analysis from The Running Bubble Lisburn, nutrition and hydration advice and samples from Moy Park, Linwoods Health Foods, Tayto and Deep RiverRock in addition to training kit and goodies to support their journey courtesy of Cool FM, Belfast Live, NIE Networks and designated charity partner, Air Ambulance NI.

The team met at Stormont Estate on Sunday 5th May for a group photo before they set off on the streets of Belfast, each with their own reason for running. The group chat came to life later that day as they congratulated one another, exchanging experiences, photos and results from the day.

The 26.2 Crew regrouped on Wednesday 8th May at Better’s Templemore Baths for a therapeutic health suite experience as part of their recovery after completing the marathon. This was a lovely opportunity for the group to catch up and reminisce on their achievement.

Celebrations continued for the crew at the 2024 Moy Park Belfast City Marathon Prize Giving at the Clayton Hotel on Thursday 23rd May. Each member collected a plaque as a memento of their special experience.

The team at Belfast City Marathon are thrilled for the 26.2 Crew, and congratulate Anna McLaughlin (Deep RiverRock ambassador), Anthony Kavanagh (Better ambassador), Curtis McCosh (Cool FM ambassador), Jess Hanna (Better ambassador), Jordan Jamison, Karen Warnock, Matt Garret, Monica Kelly (Air Ambulance NI ambassador), Orlaith Clinton (Belfast Live ambassador), Sam McGrath (Moy Park ambassador), and Sam McDowell (NIE Networks ambassador).
