Change of Dates for 2021

In light of the continuation of the pandemic; COVID-19, Belfast City Marathon Ltd have decided to reschedule the dates for the 2021 Events in order to stage a safe and enjoyable Full Marathon and Half Marathon Day for all our participants, sponsors, and volunteers.

The rescheduled date for the 2021 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon is Sunday 19th September 2021 (moved from Sunday 2nd May 2021).
The date for the 2021 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon is Sunday 2nd May 2021.
*Please note that there will only be one Half Marathon in 2021 and the 2020 Half Marathon is now cancelled.
All participants who were deferred to the 2021 Full Marathon (Sunday 2nd May) and 2020 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon (Sunday 28th February 2021) will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled events as per the dates above.
John Allen, Chairman of Belfast City Marathon Ltd commented.
“Thank you for your continued loyalty, patience and support with Belfast City Marathon Ltd over the last six months whether it was through deferral of your entry or participating in one of our Virtual Events. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all and it is still present - but we are working hard with our partners and suppliers, following expertise advice, to plan and stage our Half Marathon and Full Marathon events safely next year.
“There may be changes to the “norm” leading up to Race Day and on the day itself, but we can assure you that the quality and excitement that you have been accustomed to will not shift. We will be in regular contact about our plans over the next few months and ask for your patience at this time.”
If you do not wish to take part (or are unable to do so) in the rescheduled events, you can choose one of the following options;
- Change your entry to another event in the Full Marathon or Half Marathon in 2021
- Defer your place to the 2022 Event(s)
- Transfer your entry to someone else
- Receive a refund *
*Excludes any bank charges, purchase of training plans, nutrition plans or merchandise
If you would like to avail of any of the above options, you MUST contact the Marathon Office at info@belfastcitymarathon.org with your Event Order ID Number before midnight on Monday 30th November 2020. No requests will be granted after this time.
