Belfast Half Marathon T-Shirt & Medal Revealed by Carryduff Running Club
26 July 2024
Following a competition through the Belfast City Marathon’s social media platforms, Carryduff Running Club won an exclusive visit to the Air Ambulance NI air base where clubmates modelled the t-shirt and medal reveal for the sold out 2024 Moy Park Belfast City Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 22nd September.
Carryduff Running Club visited the operational base on Thursday 265h July, where they met some of the Air Ambulance team, had a tour of the base and got a special look at the helicopter and enjoyed photo opportunities. Members also got a Moy Park water bottle and tote bag to take home.
Five members of Carryduff Running Club stepped up to model the first look at the t-shirt and medal that 6,600 runners will get their hands on in September as mementos of their 13.1 mile challenge. Not only is the Moy Park Belfast City Half Marathon Northern Ireland’s BIGGEST half marathon event, but it will also be the BIGGEST in the events history with record entries.
Runners will pick up their t-shirt with their race number and goodie bag at the Expo and Pack Collection at the TEC Belfast on Saturday 21st September between 10:30am and 6pm. Many will wear their turquoise short sleeve top for their race through the City, while others will cherish pulling the top on after the race to celebrate. Medals, which showcase some of the routes iconic landmarks like ‘the big fish’ and Custom House, will be waiting at the finish line at Ormeau Park.
With 8 weeks to go, there is still time to choose Air Ambulance NI as your charity for the 2024 Moy Park Belfast City Half Marathon by emailing belfastmarathon@airambulanceni.org We all hope never to need it, but it is great to know that with continued support, Air Ambulance can continue to save lives right across Northern Ireland. The charity needs to raise almost £7,000 every day and would like the running community to fund a whole month.
If you weren’t lucky enough to secure an entry this year, why not sign up to volunteer or take to the streets in support? Runners get a great boost from the quirky motivational signs and the words of encouragement they receive!
