Meet the team at Linwoods Health Foods taking on the 2023 Mash Direct Belfast City Half Marathon on Sunday 17th September.

- What is your role at Linwoods Health Foods? International Sales and Key Accounts
- What is your favourite Linwoods Health Food and why? Linwoods Flaxseed, Sunflower, Pumpkin, Chia Seeds & Goji Berries. I like the blend of different seeds, and the sweetness of the Goji.
- Why are you running the Mash Direct Belfast City Half Marathon? To give myself a challenge to aim at, hopefully raise some money, and enjoy a fun day. A leg of the marathon last year inspired me.
- Have you taken part in a half marathon before? No
- Are you a member of a running club? No
- Who will be your biggest supporter on race day? Patrick Woods
- If others were thinking of starting their running journey, what advice would you give them? Start with small distances and gradually build yourself up to longer distances. At the beginning it will be difficult, but it does get easier and more enjoyable. Consistency is important.
- How will you celebrate your half marathon achievement? One cold beer.

- What is your favourite Linwoods Health Food and why? Linwoods Flaxseed, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Walnuts and CoQ10, I like the added taste and texture of the nuts and also the energy boost from Q10.
- Why are you running the Mash Direct Belfast City Half Marathon? I enjoy running and it’s nice to have an event to train for over the summer
- Have you taken part in a half marathon before? No but I completed the Belfast marathon in April and it was a brilliant event
- Are you a member of a running club? No
- Who will be your biggest supporter on race day? My wife Laura and my kids Aoife and Ruairi
- If others were thinking of starting their running journey, what advice would you give them? Get a running buddy and start small. Run at a pace and distance you enjoy, and finally, be consistent with your training
- How will you celebrate your half marathon achievement? Hopefully a nice dinner in Belfast somewhere.
