Primary Schools time to work on your designs for Tayto

Calling All Budding Artists and Primary Schools across Northern Ireland

The organisers of the Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon are celebrating 40 years on Sunday 1st May and would like your Primary School to get involved with our celebrations.

As part of our anniversary year, we recognise that this would not be possible without the support and generosity of our partners in particular Tayto, who have been with us for 32 years.

In conjunction with Tayto, we would like to invite Primary School pupils to enter our competition as below;

  • Design an A4 poster celebrating 40 years of Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon
  • Include reference to the event, Tayto, runners, walkers, and reference to the 40th

All artwork will be displayed at the Expo and Pack Collection (Friday 29th – Saturday 30th April) at the Titanic Exhibition Centre and three winners will be chosen on Saturday 30th April by the organisers and Tayto.

But what can you win???

  • 1st prize – a year’s worth of Tayto Crisps for the prize pupil, Tayto for the winner’s class, £500 cash prize for their Primary School, VIP Family Pass for Race Day to help the Cool FM Team start the race at Stormont Estate.
  • 2nd prize - Tayto for the winner’s class, £300 cash prize for their Primary School
  • 3rd prize – Tayto for the winner’s class, £150 cash prize for their Primary School

How do you apply?

If your Primary School would like to be part of this wonderful opportunity and get involved with the biggest participatory event in Northern Ireland, simply send your pupil's artwork (A4 poster size) either by email to info@belfastcitymarathon.org or via post to Marathon Office, Titanic Suites, 55-59 Adelaide Street Belfast BT2 8FE.

Your school can send in as many pupil/class entries as they wish.

The final deadline for artwork entries is Friday 18th February 2022.

Good luck!
